About a month ago, my husband's family and I enjoyed some relaxation on the beaches of Port St. Joe, Florida, where he was lucky enough to take a 12-hour deep-sea fishing excursion (I, on the other hand, got sea-sick on the dock and backed out of the trip!). While out, he caught the maximum amount of grouper, as well as a bullshark!

Packed in ice, and ready to prepare |
Once caught, we had more pounds of fish than we knew what to do with! We had them all cleaned up and shipped up to Ohio and prepared a big fish fry (well, big for 4 people to eat). Frying fish was EASY and super delicious.
Our finished product - fried & delicious |
Ingredients:
*1 Can of Beer (experiment with different types - we made three types: Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy, Great Lakes Burning River, and Guinness Black Lager)
*Bisquick
*Fish (cut up in small pieces & de-bone)
*Oil to fry in (I used Olive Oil, for health's sake, but veggie oil tastes great & is cheaper too!)
Directions:
*Mix the bisquick in the beer until consistency is how you desire. (The thicker the batter, the thicker the breading once fried. I liked a thinner batter fried because it made it nice and crispy. It was much messier to handle while frying, however!)
*Drop into heated oil. Cook about 5 minutes.*Spoon out (don't burn yourself!) and let sit on papertowels to soak up some grease.
We had corn-on-the-cob on the grill while we fried, so a delicious meal was done all about the same time!
